Beacon attends IHBC annual school in Norwich
1 July 2015 | Posted by Joanna Burton
On Friday 19th of June three members of Beacon's heritage team attended the IHBCs annual school in Norwich. The company had a stand in the main display area, which proved popular with other delegates at the conference. The day included inspiring talks by Jonathan Foyle on understanding the true significance and meaning of historic buildings and places and Historic England's new Chairman Sir Laurie Magnus on his vision for the future of the organisation. There were also engaging sessions exploring Jewish and Islamic heritage across the UK; the role of community led initiatives to help heritage and people's lives in Great Yarmouth, and Kate Clark on how the heritage sector needs to be aware of our 'brand' in the future. An excellent day, and we hope all that attended enjoyed it as much as we did.
