In this exciting new role, we are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated Senior Heritage Consultant with a proven track record in preparing desk-based archaeological assessments to add this specialism to our existing heritage offer and can flourish as part of a supportive, friendly and hard-working team.

In this senior role, you will provide expert advice to clients and design teams, and liaise with local planning authorities and Historic England to shape development in a positive way that preserves and enhances the historic environment whilst meeting our clients' needs. You will lead on the preparation of heritage appraisals and desk-based assessments, and other planning documents such as appeal statements (depending on experience). Whilst you will be well-supported within the heritage team, you will need to be confident in preparing high quality reports independently and without direct supervision. This is a new role within the Company and therefore you will also be required to undertake our core work of preparing appraisals and statements for built heritage. We are keen to develop an archaeological offer as a new growth area, therefore this presents an exciting opportunity to grow this new sector of business and you will be supported to ensure this is a success.

Applicants should be an accredited member of the IfA at either Associate or Member level and/or a full member of the IHBC (or eligible for with a commitment to apply).
