Beacon help secure approval in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Conservation Area
28 January 2017 | Posted by Emma Sharp
Beacon Planning provided heritage consultancy services for the demolition and construction of a new family home in the De Vere Conservation Area.

Beacon Planning were instructed to produce a pre- application heritage statement in support of proposals for the demolition of the existing building and its reconstruction to create a contemporary family dwelling. A positive pre-application response has now led to the granting of planning permission on this site.

The original building is located within the De Vere Conservation Area. Although the building is identified as being a positive contributor, it was demonstrated that the building was building in the 1950s and its contribution to the conservation area was limited. The new building by Tigg Coll Architects will provide an enhancement to the conservation area.
