Beacon Planning assists in gaining consent for alterations to listed Sue Ryder mansion in Ipswich.
11 December 2017 | Posted by Charmain Hawkins
Beacon Planning have helped gain permission for alterations to a listed care-home in Ipswich. The proposals will create additional bedrooms and reinstate the use of one of the principal rooms.

The Chantry is an C18 Grade II listed house, extensively altered in the C19, which today is set in a country park to the outskirts of Ipswich. It was given to the town in 1927 and since 1993 has been managed by Sue Ryder to provide both residential and day care facilities. The proposals will create three additional bedrooms and reinstate one of the principal rooms back for use as the dining room. Beacon produced the supporting heritage statement to justify the proposed alterations by JDDK architects.
