Cambridge Guildhall goes green!
1 June 2018 | Posted by Emma Sharp
Beacon Planning have been successful in securing permission for Solar Panels and energy upgrades at the Cambridge Guildhall.

In association with Cambridge City Council and Bouygues UK the Grade II listed Guildhall will see energy improvements to reduce the building’s carbon footprint.

Beacon Planning have secured consent for the installation of a solar pv array to the roof of the building along with internal alterations to reduce the carbon footprint of the building.

The Guildhall is Grade II listed and located within the Historic Core Conservation Area. The site has played an important civic role in the city since the early medieval period. It is hoped that the positive precedent of the development on such a prestigious building will encourage others to reduce their carbon footprint.
