Marine Hotel, Salcombe
Beacon have been appointed by the Stirling Prize winning architects Rogers, Stirk Harbour and Partners (RSH-P) to assist them in the preparation of a planning application and an Environmental Statement for a replacement hotel and associated new housing in Salcombe, Devon.
The site is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and adjoins the town’s Conservation Area with Listed Buildings close by. The new 5* hotel will provide greatly enhanced visitor accommodation and the overall proposals include new publicly accessible viewing decks.
Beacon have been asked to prepare the landscape, townscape, heritage and visual impact chapter the ES and to draft the supporting Planning Statement.
